Description:
Built in the early 1920s as an ice cream, candy, and soda shop cafe, The Red Kettle underwent a name change to the Coffee Cup in the late 1940s. In January 1979, Jan Boss purchased and remodeled it, reopening it as Jan's Red Kettle. Ownership changed hands in 2002 when Jimmy Campbell acquired it, subsequently selling it to Joann Canetti, who renamed it JC's Red Kettle. In 2006, the Stewart family bought the café, reverting the name to The Red Kettle, and operated it until May 2016. Currently owned and operated by The Peregrine Falcon, LLC, The Red Kettle holds the distinction of being the oldest running café on the hill, boasting a history that includes visits from notable figures like John Wayne and Elvis Presley.
