Remington Hot Springs

Three manmade tubs sit on the Kern River's edge, taking advantage of the geothermal hot springs and the beautiful, natural surroundings. In the evening you might see bats flying out of their caves, looking for their nighttime meal. Nude bathing is not permitted, although some risk getting ticketed by the rangers. If you're looking for solitude, this isn't the place - it's quite popular with locals and out-of-towners. You can park in the lot right off of Kern Canyon Rd. and then walk about 500 feet to the river. (Submitted by Ginger Black)
