In the movie "Training Day," a pivotal moment occurs at Roger's house, where Jake Hoyt (Ethan Hawke) discovers the deep-rooted corruption within Alonzo Harris's (Denzel Washington) narcotics team. Initially introduced to Roger earlier in the film, Hoyt and Harris revisit his house, only to find the rest of the tainted unit, including Dr. Dre, assembled there. Tragically, Harris murders Roger and the team locates millions in stolen drug money hidden beneath the floorboards. Instead of reporting the discovery, everyone except Hoyt indulges in the ill-gotten gains, while also constructing a deceitful narrative that compels Hoyt to take matters into his own hands.
