Rubel Castle

What happens when a boy’s passion for building forts out of junkyard scraps only grows with age? Rubel Castle, that’s what. A bonafide medieval style stone/junk castle (20 years in the making and masterminded by the late Michael Rubel) stands in Glendora—a testament to childhood imagination, community effort, and dogged determination. Once Rubel’s private residence, the castle is now open for guided tours.
