Description:

San Francisco is known for the Golden Gate Bridge and its distinctive cable cars. This museum is dedicated to the history of this convenient form of public transportation which has been taking people up and down the steep hills of the city since 1873. Located just a block away from Chinatown the museum is a great stop before you head off to grab lunch. Although San Francisco is known for being pricey, admission to the Cable Car Museum is free!
