Narrow concrete stairs numbering almost 200 ascend in the middle of a residential area in Santa Monica. It's one of the favorite spots for people who want to exercise outdoors. The steep incline makes for a heart-pumping workout but Santa Monica's perfect year-round weather makes it more comfortable.
