Description:

The Sharpsteen Museum's mission is to preserve and narrate the history of Calistoga and the Upper Napa Valley from its early days to post World War I, emphasizing the impact of U.S. emigration and development. Using unique and extensive dioramas, the museum vividly portrays Calistoga as an elegant 1860s Hot Springs resort, developed by California's first millionaire, Sam Brannan, known for his roles as a pioneer, promoter, publisher, and entrepreneur. The museum hosts dynamic events and rotating exhibits every six months, catering to the diverse interests of the Napa Valley community.
