Description:
Shiprock earned its name due to its striking resemblance to a Spanish galleon. The formation of Shiprock dates back over 250 million years, originating at the floor of a prehistoric tropical sea. Situated approximately four miles outside downtown Palm Springs, it can be found just off the 111 West.
