Dennis Patton's 30-foot tall sculpture of the famed English captain, navigator, and slaver stands in a Marin County field. He wields a sword, ready to battle natives and Spaniards. While he cuts a controversial figure due to his seafaring activities, the Expressionist-style sculpture is still a nice little stop before you grab a bite to eat at the Marin Brewing Company or the Melting Pot Fondue Restaurant.
