Description:

Soroptimist International is a volunteer organization largely comprised of women dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls in each chapter's local communities. The Pomona-Claremont chapter, founded in 1946, planted 250 redwood trees between 1971 and 1976. Today, this copse within Ganesha Park has walkways, a picnic area, and a memorial. Several sculptures of Native American art fashioned from dead redwoods from the grove naturally blend in with their surroundings. The park is open every during daylight hours.
