Description:
These small dams were built 100 or more years ago by ranchers who settled here and needed to collect water for their cattle. A mysterious inscription etched in the stone of Squaw Tank refers to deceased 7-year-old boy by the name of William, although it is most likely a more modern act of vandalism. To get to Squaw Tank turn south on Geology Tour Rd. from Park Blvd. Geology Tour Rd. is unpaved so it's recommended only for 4WD vehicles.
