Description:

While William Mulholland is the famed engineer and architect behind the Los Angeles Aqueduct, he also is vilified for the failure of the St. Francis Dam in 1928. Literally the same day he declared the dam safe, it broke - to end the lives of 400 people. Now just a bunch of rubble inhabiting a craggy canyon, it remains evidence of one of the worst engineering debacles in modern American history.
