Description:

Legend has it the original owners, Bob and Dorothy Cook, asked their son Don to put some bananas in the refrigerator. Don, being a 12-year-old boy probably distracted by his green army men toys, mistakenly put them in the freezer. When the Cook's realized what happened, instead of throwing them out, Bob had the idea to dip them in fudge. And just like that, the frozen banana was born. The shop was later sold in 1945 and became the Sugar 'n Spice you see today. The sweets shop has been serving up frozen bananas (and lots of other things dipped in chocolate) ever since. Fun fact, Sugar 'n Spice was also the inspiration for Bluth's Original Frozen Banana Stand from the popular TV show "Arrested Development." "There's Always Money in the Banana Stand!"
