Surfing Madonna Glass Mosaic

Mark Patterson reimagined the Virgen de Guadalupe as a mosaic. Wearing her robes she rides a nice wave on a 10x10 blue background. The mosaic was originally placed across the street, but the good lady was deemed to be graffiti and illegally placed. Patterson had to take it down, but was able to reinstall it in its current position. Patterson's work of art has spearheaded a nonprofit organization called "Surfing Madonna Oceans Project" to save the ocean.
