This four-star hotel is on the pricey side but it delivers. Elegantly minimalist interior design, complimentary Mini Coopers, surf safaris, and hiking adventures are a few of the amenities offered. Or you can opt to rent a wetsuit and surfboard to ride the famous Malibu waves. The rooftop dining menu is world-class, but due to zoning regulations, is only available to guests. It was originally built in 1956 as the Malibu Shores Motel, but reopened as something completely new and different in 2017. More modern materials such as reclaimed teak floors, ceramic tile, and rainfall-style showers make the former motel more like a personal beach house.
