Description:
Tenaya Lake is a picturesque alpine lake located in the eastern section of Yosemite. It's situated at an elevation of 8,150 feet and covers an area of approximately 150 acres. The lake was named after Chief Tenaya, a Native American leader of the Ahwahneechee tribe who inhabited the Yosemite Valley area before the arrival of European settlers.
