Description:
Built in 1863, this Greek-Revival Victorian mansion is especially noteworthy because most California estates of the era were designed in the Spanish-hacienda style. The Banning estate has been owned by the City of L.A. since 1927 when it was immediately opened to the public. The museum is open every day except Monday during limited hours. Admission is $5 per adult and $1 per child.
