The Biltmore Los Angeles

Built in 1923 in the Beaux Arts style that was prevalent at the time this fixture of downtown L.A. is near all the sightseeing destinations of the Southland. It's a great way to learn about L.A. architectural history; the building still possesses a lot of its original interior appointments. It's within walking distance of the Grammy Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Disney Concert Hall. If you don't mind walking a bit further, Chinatown is about a mile north and the Fashion District is about a mile south. (Submitted by Brenda Rios)
