Description:
On April 28, 1952, the Fresno Bee reported that "two spans of the 46-year-old Friant Bridge dropped into the river with a roar which awakened residents..." Thankfully, it seems that no one had been hurt and no cars had been on it at the time. Today, just a few graffitied remnants remain, a section on land and a few shattered bits in the water. For safety reasons keep to the land. However, there are some tour guides who will take you on the San Joaquin River by canoe. (Submitted by @jk.hb)
