Description:

On a hill just south of Napa City stands an iconic statue known as "The Grape Crusher." Visible from Highway 29, this massive sculpture depicts a vineyard worker in a wide-brim hat operating a grape crusher. The worker is frozen in a dynamic pose, with both hands on the handle and one foot braced against the basket, showcasing the traditional winemaking process. The Grape Crusher is the largest sculpture west of the Mississippi, measuring three times life size and weighing 6,000 pounds, standing 15 feet high excluding its six-foot base.
