Description:

This lot served as the Jim Henson Company headquarters, but was famous for so much more. It was built in 1917 by Charlie Chaplin who owned it until 1953. It then was used for TV productions such as "Perry Mason." Afterwards, A&M Records acquired it as their headquarters with music videos such as "Every Breath You Take" and "Ghostbusters" being filmed there. Today it still serves as the Henson Recording Studios under which famous tunes such as "We Are the World" have been recorded. The likes of Soundgarden, David Lee Roth, and Van Morrison have recorded albums here. The six English-style buildings are recognizable by Kermit the Frog greeting visitors by doffing his bowler hat.
