The Marine Mammal Center

It was established in 1975 as a rescue and rehabilitation center for marine mammals native to the area. State-of-the-art scientific and medical facilities are designed to heal injured seals, otters, whales, dolphins, and countless other species as well as research ways to reverse the damage humans have inflicted on our marine ecosystems. The center is open daily from 10 AM to 4 PM with free admission. Guided tours and behind-the-scenes tours are also available, but at an extra charge. See the website for further details.
