The McCallum Adobe

The McCallum Adobe, built in 1884 by Scottish immigrant John McCallum, is the oldest standing building in Palm Springs. Originally a family home, it played a key role in the region's early development. Restored and relocated in the mid-20th century, the adobe now houses the Palm Springs Historical Society, serving as a museum that preserves and showcases the city's rich cultural heritage. Visitors can explore exhibits, artifacts, and photographs detailing Palm Springs' transformation from a desert oasis to a renowned resort destination.
