Description:

After you check out the Rand Desert Museum, take a stroll to see the other historical buildings such as the Randsburg City Jail. No mining town is complete without a jail, especially one that deals in precious metals. This is one of the very few sound structures still standing; a few fires in the late 1890s caused irreparable destruction. Randsburg's authentic atmosphere makes a great filming location, so you might recognize it from "Cowboys and Aliens" and Dwight Yoakam's video for "Long White Cadillac."
