Description:

John Richardson had originally built two dwellings on this ranch land in 1864. The surviving Richardson House has been restored to its original condition with furnishings and artifacts that give visitors a glimpse of 19th century ranch life. The structure behind the house is Lizzie's Trail Inn which was famous for homemade ravioli while the house was where moonshine operations were in full force. The museum is in the small community of Sierra Madre, a small-town experience within Los Angeles County.
