The Roar Foundation

Started by Tippi Hedren, this nonprofit maintains the Shambala Preserve which cares for large cats. These lions, tigers, Bengals, and other exotic cats cannot fend for themselves in the wild. Tippi Hedren and the Roar Foundation have successfully passed legislation to guard these precious animals from harm. The foundation's board includes celebrities such as Hedren's daughter, Melanie Griffith, Antonio Banderas, Bo Derek, and Betty White.
