Description:

The Skunk was formally named the California Western Railroad formed in 1885 to facilitate the transportation of lumber. The term "skunk" referred to the weird odor exuding from the fumes produced by powering the motorcars and so the name stuck. Today, the train rides are a magical step back in time taking visitors through the grand redwoods that Northern California is so famous for. Check the website for more details as the different packages have different costs associated with them. You can also opt for the rail bike which runs about $250 for a two-seater.
