1000 Steps Secret Pools

Saves: 226
Check-ins: 10
It sounds like an adventure to a hidden beach and you won't be disappointed. A built-in workout of 250 steps which take you down to a saltwater pool built in 1929 by a movie director. Stay safe above all - the rocks can be slippery so wear water shoes or sturdy sneakers. Make sure you only go at low tide as high tide is dangerous. (Plus you'll see some of the marine life left behind when the water recedes.) Lastly, stay on the beach away from private property. Have fun and take lots of photos. To get to Thousand Steps Beach head to 9th Avenue and Coast Highway and park in a legal spot. Across from 9th Ave is the beach access entrance which leads to a long stairway. Keep in mind you'll have to take those 200+ steps back to your car! (Submitted by @ime_hz - Photo by @lets__run_away)
