Tony Gwynn Statue

Erected outside of Petco Park is the bronze sculpture of an MLB great who played 20 seasons with the San Diego Padres. It was created by William Behrends and placed in 2007, seven years before his death in 2014 from cancer. The 9.5-foot-tall has an inscription we can all live by: "If you work hard, good things will happen."
