Description:
Three rooms in this museum give a complete history of the area and its importance in borax mining. The name which was what the laundry and cleaning aid was marketed under came from the method of how the ionic compound was hauled. Outside you'll see plenty of the equipment that was used to obtain and to transport the borax. The museum is open every day from 10 AM to 4 PM and relies on donations. To get there take Boron Ave south from Hwy 58. Turn right on Twenty Mule Team Rd. and the museum will be on your immediate left, right next to the Saxon Aerospace Museum.
