Description:

Created in 2019 by artists Damin Lujan and Brian Peterson, this mural depicts the living room of a family home subtly conveying a message of the human desire for shelter and safety in comfortable, clean surroundings. It is aptly named "Home Sweet Home" and includes an illusion - the yellow sofa is actually a fnctional steel bench made to look like it is a part of the mural. The painting within the painting is of Robert Morse, a former homeless man who has dedicated his life to solving the problem of homelessness in America. The mural is in the parking lot of the First Methodist Church.
