USS Hornet Museum

The USS Hornet Museum offers visitors an opportunity to experience the life of sailors and naval aviators during the 20th century. Visitors can explore the ship's various decks and compartments, including the flight deck, hangar deck, and mess hall. They can also see vintage aircraft such as the F-14 Tomcat, the A-6 Intruder, and the S-3 Viking on display. One of the most popular attractions of the USS Hornet Museum is the Apollo exhibit. The USS Hornet was the recovery ship for the Apollo 11 and Apollo 12 missions, which brought the first humans to the moon. Visitors can see artifacts from these missions, including the quarantine trailer that housed the returning astronauts.
