Villa Montalvo is a historic landmark located in Saratoga, CA, approximately 10 miles west of San Jose. The estate was originally built in 1912 by James Duval Phelan, a prominent businessman, politician, and philanthropist who served as the mayor of San Francisco and later as a U.S. Senator. The property consists of a 175-acre park, gardens, and several buildings, including the main villa which is a Mediterranean-style mansion. The villa features a large central courtyard, ornate tile work, and a tower with panoramic views of the surrounding hills.
