The Steffens Family concluded their extensive search for a vineyard property in Napa Valley by acquiring a forty-acre parcel atop Spring Mountain. This property, planted in the early 1980s with eight acres dedicated to both Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, aligns with the family's strict criteria for sustainable grape cultivation. The acquisition fulfills their aspiration to craft premium wines that authentically reflect the region. Vineyard 7 & 8, established in 1999, draws its name from proprietor Launny Steffens' financial background, incorporating a numeric theme inspired by numerology. The choice of "seven" signifies luck in western culture, while "eight" symbolizes prosperity and happiness in eastern culture.
