Welcome to Boron Sign

Named for the rich deposits found here this city is home to the largest borax mine in the world. The 2,000+ residents are quite proud of Boron's importance in borax mining and thus the welcome sign includes the silhouette of two mules which were essential in transporting the mined mineral. The sign is located just south of Hwy 58. Exit Boron Avenue and go south then turn left on Twenty Mule Team Rd. The sign will be less than a mile up the road.
