Description:

Built in 1891, this house is a rare example from its era, having remained unchanged since its construction. Notable for its unique mansard roof, the dwelling stands out in its architectural style. Exclusively occupied by the Zalud family since its creation, the house is one of the nation's few museums entirely furnished with the original owners' possessions. In 1970, Pearle Zalud, the youngest daughter, generously handed over the property to the City of Porterville. Recognized for its historical value, the Zalud House is listed in the National Historical Registry of Old Houses and the National Register of Historic Places.
