Balanced Rock is a popular natural attraction located in the Rocky Mountain National Park near Estes Park, Colorado. The Balanced Rock Trail is a moderate 0.4-mile round trip hike that leads to the base of the rock formation. The trail starts from the Lumpy Ridge Trailhead which is located on the north side of Highway 34 about 1.5 miles west of the entrance to the park. The trail is well-marked and maintained and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and forests.
