Description:
Known as a 10-wheeler type gauge, this locomotive was manufactured in 1883. It ran on coal-fueled steam, one of 12 similar locomotives built for the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad. It was taken out of storage in 1939, to be showcased at the World's Fair. 169 has rested at its current location since 1941, a gift from the railroad to the city.
