80 acres have been set aside as a permanent wildlife preserve in which a diversity of species lives and thrives. The Uncompahgre River runs alongside, giving waterfowl, bears, elk, foxes, and wild felines a fertile place to find food. Visitors love observing the wildlife here, but there are also hiking trails and great mountain views. Other features of interest: the Medicine Wheel, Poem Rock, and Eagle Monument.
