Idarado Mine

Known for its veins of silver, lead, and zinc ore, this mining operation was of particular importance during the World War II era. It remained in operation until 1979. The mines are bit worn out but still intact along with the bridge and pylons leading into the mines. If you are making it a weekend trip, there are plenty of lodges and restaurants nearby.
