Description:

The Longs Peak Trail is a popular hiking trail located in Rocky Mountain National Park near Estes Park, CO. This trail is known for being one of the most challenging hikes in the park as it requires hikers to navigate steep terrain, rock scrambles, and high altitude conditions. The trail begins at the Longs Peak Trailhead which is located at an elevation of approximately 9,400 feet. From there hikers will begin the ascent to the summit of Longs Peak which stands at 14,259 feet. The trail is approximately 8.4 miles in length one-way and has a total elevation gain of approximately 4,850 feet.
