Rocky Mountain National Park
The Rocky Mountain National Park is located approximately 76 miles northwest of Denver International Airport. The Continental Divide's eastern and western slopes run directly through the park's center. The main features of the park are the many mountains, alpine lakes, and a wide variety of wildlife. There are a total of five visitor centers in the park. You'll also discover a network of trails ranging from easy to strenuous. Horseback riding is permitted and you may spot llamas and other pack animals which are allowed on most of the trails. Fishing is allowed in the many lakes and streams in the park, as is camping which is allowed at several designated campgrounds.
