Sandbeach Lake is a beautiful alpine lake located in the Indian Peaks Wilderness of CO. It can be accessed via the Sandbeach Lake Trail which is a 4.8-mile hike (one way) that begins at the Wild Basin Trailhead in Rocky Mountain National Park. The trail to Sandbeach Lake starts off with a gentle incline through a lush forest of pine and aspen trees. As you continue hiking the trail becomes steeper and more rocky with several switchbacks along the way. You'll also cross a few small streams and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
