Description:

This serene Catholic retreat looks as if it should be in a Thomas Kinkade painting with its rustic stone walls and the surrounding mountains. Known officially as St. Catherine of Siena Chapel, it was built in the 1930s and has seen damage by fire and floods. Although the chapel remains closed visitors can still take amazing photos from the highway.
