Mount Blue Sky Summit

Take a day trip to see the highest paved road in America. Nearly 9,000 feet of elevation gain take you to the highest peak in the Mount Evans Wilderness which is a 14,264-foot summit. Mount Evans Road is open during the summer, but part of it closes down after September 1. Check the website for current closures. While you're at the summit you can take a hike to the nearby Meyer-Womble Observatory with a high probability of seeing some cute mountain goats!
