Judy Messoline noticed how UFO watchers sometimes gathered at her ranch after dark. She decided she would capitalize on the circumstances and make some money so she opened a campground and built a small stucco saucer dome gift shop, then surrounded it with a 10-foot high viewing platform. She called this "The UFO Watchtower." In the summer of 2000, she opened for business and UFO enthusiasts have been flocking to the site since then. But why? What Judy didn't know was that she happened to be situated right smack in the middle of the best place in the world to see UFOs - the San Luis Valley! Her souvenir shop stocks a healthy supply of UFO gifts for all who stop by to take a look to the skies.
