Gillette Castle seems to be an appropriate home for a man who made his mark by playing Sherlock Holmes. The exterior seems to be a stone skeleton but rustic in its beauty. The interior likewise has stone walls but the rooms are yet cozy and warm. Aside from the castle, the area has trails, camping, and picnic grounds.
