West Cornwall Covered Bridge

Built in 1864, this wooden lattice truss structure is a part of New England's history that is slowly fading. The 172-foot-long, one-lane bridge is charming but the real attraction here is the foliage that surrounds it. In fall the glorious autumnal colors emerge, framing the red bridge in rusty, burnt shades of orange. You don't need to spend more than 30 minutes here but it is a stop worth making on a lazy Sunday morning after breakfast.
