Vietnam Veterans Memorial

Saves: 29
Check-ins: 81
This 2-acre memorial is dedicated to those Americans who fought in the Vietnam War and those Americans who were KIA and MIA. The names of the soldiers are etched into the black stone and many visitors come to make an etching of the name of a loved one. You will often find sentimental tokens left here by people who lost a family member in the war. The wall was designed by architect Maya Lin and it was amazingly her first commission. The statue of the three bronze soldiers was designed by the third-place winner of the design contest, Frederick Hart.
