Washington National Cathedral

Saves: 38
Check-ins: 22
This Episcopal church is a stunning example of traditional and modern architecture and art. In more recent years, it has become known for its oddly interesting gargoyles and grotesques high on the exterior which help deflect rain water that would otherwise damage the stone walls. First commissioned by George Washington, this Gothic-style cathedral has held funerals for three presidents - Eisenhower, Reagan, and Ford.
